Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own guitar to start lessons?
No! I can help you choose the right guitar for your budget and goals during our first session. Many beginners start with a basic acoustic guitar in the $100-200 range.
What ages do you teach?
I teach students of all ages — kids, teens, and adults. The approach is tailored to each student's age, experience level, and musical interests.
How do online guitar lessons work?
We meet over video call (Zoom or Google Meet). I can see your hands and technique clearly, and you can see mine. I share sheet music and tabs on screen. Many students actually prefer online lessons for the convenience.
What styles of guitar do you teach?
I teach across genres — rock, pop, folk, fingerstyle, blues, classical basics, and more. My philosophy is to teach through the music YOU want to play, so your interests drive the curriculum.
Where are you located?
I'm based in Wayne County, Pennsylvania (near Honesdale). I teach online lessons to students anywhere, and in-person lessons are available for local students in the Wayne County / northeastern PA area.
